Policies
Booking and Cancellation: A 30% deposit is required upon booking. This is fully refundable if cancelled within 30 days of your check-in date. Otherwise, your deposit may be forwarded towards another date.
Payment Methods: For your convenience, we accept Visa and Mastercard.
Waivers: All of our riders must sign a waiver prior to riding. It is very important for all riders to understand that horses are not mechanical. They have minds of their own, and are somewhat unpredictable. No matter what your skill level, or no matter how reliable and quiet the horse, there is significant risk of injury when riding. We highly recommend that each guest wear a riding helmet, and it is mandatory that guests under 16 wear one. We do our best to suit each rider with an appropriate horse, but each guest must try to be realistic and honest about their riding level and skills. Each guest must agree that they ride at their own risk, and will not hold Sabir Springs Farm or it’s owners or staff liable for any damage or injury that may occur during their stay.
We also reserve the right to refuse riding privileges to anyone excessively overweight. Riding is a sport, and does require some amount of athleticism, and balance. For the safety of our guests and horses, we do prefer not to saddle up the excessively overweight guest unless they have significant riding experience. If you have any concerns or questions about this subject, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Quiet enjoyment: Our guest house is shared by all guests. Please be respectful of others privacy and peaceful enjoyment of the property.
Guided Rides: All rides are guided. For the safety of our guests and horses, all rides must be accompanied by a staff member. Once we become familiar with our guests and their abilities are sufficient, we may allow some guests to ride on their own. This is assessed on an individual basis.
What to Bring
The summers here in Rock Creek are very hot with temperatures that can reach the mid 30’s. So, we recommend that you bring products and clothing that will protect you from the sun and heat. This would include sun block lotions, hats, and maybe some longer sleeved shirts if you burn.
For riding, you will need riding pants or comfortable jeans. You should bring proper riding boots, as they are designed for riding, and are made with your comfort and safety in mind. However, if you are wearing other boots, please make sure they have about an inch heal. No running shoes!!! Riding gloves are also a comfortable item to wear, but are not necessary.
You may wish to bring a swim suite for the hot tub. Evenings sometimes require a sweater or very light jacket. There are lots of places to go for a walk, and if you would enjoy, we suggest comfortable footwear and shorts for that activity.
If you are visiting during the winter, temperatures are usually around -10 and can rise to just above freezing during the day. As such, warm hats and gloves are a must, and if riding, long underwear under your jeans might be an idea.
